Impact Acquire SDK C++
After installing updating an existing version of Impact Acquire or after initially installing the Impact Acquire package, USB3 Vision™ devices are not accessible

Symptoms

After installing the Impact Acquire framework or Updates on Windows 10 mvBlueFOX3 or any USB3 Vision™ cameras are not recognized as "USB3 Vision Device(Bound to MATRIX VISION GmbH driver using libusbK) device". Once a GUI or example application e.g. ImpactControlCenter is used the camera won't show up and the corresponding libraries (libusb0.dll, libusbK.dll, libusbK.sys) at SystemRoot%/system32 and SystemRoot%/system32 are missing.

Cause

The root cause is that during the installation the digital signatures of the files are verified by contacting external servers if an active Internet connection is available.

Resolution

Several things can be done to overcome potential problems:

  • Disconnect the system from Internet before starting an application which accesses the camera for the first time and reconnect it afterwards.
  • Since the device driver installation will be executed in the background once the first application tries to use it you can simply start the application a 2nd time.
