Firmware 2.27.0 for BVS CA-GX0 / BVS CA-GX2 devices (released 9th of February 2018)

In general all firmware versions are meant to operate on every device. Whenever this is not the case this page will provide some guidelines on what to do or what to consider. Apart from that all known compatibility issues are listed here.

Hardware Revision 5

Hardware revision 5 for BVS CA-GX0 / BVS CA-GX2 devices are shipped with a different network interface chip since the chip used before is no longer available. As a consequence devices with this hardware revision cannot be operated with previous firmware releases:

Downgrading to a firmware version smaller than the versions listed in the table above may result in device malfunction!

To verify the compatibility of your application with new firmware / Impact Acquire versions you can use cameras with smaller hardware revisions. Just update them to firmware version 2.28.0 or greater. If your applications runs without any problems afterwards you can use the new hardware revisions without any problems as well.
